SCHENECTADY – Wanda Papa Yeo, 77, of The Avenue, died Friday afternoon, after a long illness.
Wanda was born in Schenectady, on January 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret Montorio Papa. She was a homemaker to her family. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo and various bus trips.
Wanda was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Dominick Papa.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Donna and her husband John DeGeorgio, of Rotterdam and Sandra and her husband Richard Wood of Albany; two grandsons, Ronald DeGeorgio and Richard Wood; a brother; Robert and his wife Jocelyne Papa of Glenville; a sister-in-law, Lillian Papa of Ballston Lake. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. A service of remembrance will be held Monday evening at 7:30 PM, with Pastor John Mulligan, Pastor of Open Arms Church officiating. Interment will be in Memory’s Garden, Colonie.
