NISKAYUNA – Virginia ‘Ginnie” DePaula, 90, entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Ellis Hospital.
Ginnie was born on August 23, 1930, a daughter of the late Wojiech ‘Adelbert’ and Kunegunda ‘Mary’ Maxwell Kozlowski. She graduated with honors from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1948. Ginnie worked in the insurance industry with Lillis Insurance and later with Heckenberg Insurance Agency before starting her career in banking. She worked in the mortgage department with Bank of America and Schenectady Savings, for many pleasurable years, retiring as an Administrative Officer. Ginnie was a kind, gracious and loving woman; she adored her family, embraced her heritage; and was true to her faith. She was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church.
She was predeceased by her loving grandson Justin DePaula; siblings, Cele Greene, Walter Kozlowski, Florence Maschuta, Joseph Kozlowski and Dorothy Bisaillon.
Ginnie is survived by her beloved husband Richard C. ‘Dick’ DePaula; loving son Michael (Christina) DePaula, of Broadalbin, NY and cherished grandson Jared (Shelly) DePaula, of Scottsdale, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Albany Street. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
