GLENVILLE – Virginia C. Polsinelli, 98, entered peacefully into eternal rest
on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Virginia was born in Mechanicville, a daughter of the late Anthony and
Marie Marano Valentino. Born and raised in Mechanicville, Virginia
attended local schools, where she began building a life rooted in the values
that would guide her throughout her years. A devoted homemaker, Virginia
dedicated her life to raising her two wonderful sons. She took great pride in
nurturing her family and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and the
aroma of her incredible cooking. Her talent for baking and her delicious
meals were legendary among family and friends. Her Italian heritage and
deep faith were central to her life. Family meant everything to her, and her
happiest moments were spent surrounded by her loved ones, sharing stories
and traditions that kept her Italian roots alive. Her gentle spirit, devotion to
her family, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. She
was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 73 years, Lewis
A. Polsinelli; her siblings, Mary Valentino, Carmen Valentino, Anthony
‘Pastie” Valentino and John Valentino.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Lewis (Darlene) Polsinelli, Jr. and
Ronald (Lucia) Polsinelli, Sr.; adoring grandchildren, Ronald (Marie)
Polsinelli, Jr., Cynthia (Jamie) McCloskey and Candice Huhtala; great-
grandchildren, Marcus, Stella, Owen, Giavanna and Enzo; her loving sister
Rose DeVito; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12 noon at St. Anthony’s
Church, 331 Seward Place. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery,
Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Anthony’s Church on
Monday from 10 am until the Mass.
