SCHENECTADY – Virginia “Gynni” Ferlazzo, 77, entered into eternal peace on January 1, 2026 at Ellis Hospital.

Gynni was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Guy and Marion (Phelps) Pucci. She was a 1966 graduate of Linton High School and worked for the Ellis Hospital Foundation, retiring in 2003 after 27 years of service. Gynni was a sweet, loving and gracious woman, always professional in her manner and deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Gynni was predeceased by her loving daughter, Tonya R. (Ferlazzo) Redman.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Stephen A. Ferlazzo; loving children, Stephen A. (Kimberly) Ferlazzo, and Lisa (Dean) Attanasio; grandchildren, Robert S. (Kasey) Redman, Anthony W. Yezzo and his fiancée, Amanda Kenyon, and Angela Yezzo; great-grandchildren, Emma, Noah and Leah Redman; sister, Rose A. Hopkins; stepfather, Victor O. Nava; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street on Thursday, January 8th from 6-8 pm.
