WEST CHARLTON – Vincent Iovinella, Jr., 87, passed away on January 5, 2019.
Vincent was born in Schenectady on January 23, 1931, a son of the late Vincent Iovinella, Sr. and Sarah Fernandez. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1949; Spencer Business Institute; Royale Academy of Beauty and Barber School; The School of Medical Transcription.
Vince served in the United States Army, 1201st Medical Field Service detachment, during the Korean Conflict.
Vince was the owner and manager of D & D Automotive in Schenectady. Vince was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge.
The Iovinella family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Home, 3rd floor Erie Crossings for taking such good care of our beloved Father.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Celia Tristano whom he married June 16, 1956 and she died May 12, 2006.
Vince is survived by his children; Kathleen (Michael) Bennice; Wayne (Terri) Iovinella; Karin (Thomas) Giroux; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Iovinelli; Michael (Heather) Bennice; Allyson (Travis) LeMere; Maria Giroux and Sarah Giroux; great-grandchildren, Domenica Iovinelli; Gianni Iovinelli; Luciano Iovinelli; Olivia LeMere; Ayden LeMere; Ellie LeMere; a brother Nicholas Iovinella and brother-in-law Robert (Denise) Tristano; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at Memory Garden, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Colonie 12205 at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
