ROTTERDAM – Victoria E. "Vicky" Flory, 99, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday.
Vicky was born July 7, 1913 a daughter of the late Phillip and Josephine Pasquarella Eats. She attended local schools and worked a short time at the General Electric, before beginning her career at Millivac Instruments, Rotterdam, in 1955 where she made circuit boards and meters for the government, retiring in 1995 at the age of 82. She was a member of the South Schenectady Fire Department Auxiliary and a lifetime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption (Our Lady Queen of Peace) parish and a 58 year member of the Rosary Society.
Vicky treasured her family and friends and was blessed to have the time and memories she spent with them.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph "Puff" Flory in 1971; her loving son and daughter-in-law, Ronald J. Flory and Sandee Flory; siblings, John, James, Anthony, Carmen and Frank Eats, Grace Delory, Rose Pasquariello and Mary 'MiMi' DiMartino.
She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Kimmberli K. Flory and Scott J. Flory of Rotterdam; adoring great-grandson, Tristan R. Flory; her dear niece, friend and caregiver, Mary Ann 'Babe' Pasquarella; brother-in-law, Nicholas DiMartino, of Fl; many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday at 8:30 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to Our Lady Queen of Peace, Princetown Road, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.
