GLENVILLE – Victor Scott (Sciocchetti), 70, of Glenville died suddenly on Saturday at his brothers’ side.
Vic was born in Chianti, province of Abruzzo, Italy on September 14, 1940, the son of the late Giustino and Concettina Morelli Sciocchetti. Vic and his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Schenectady in 1950. He graduated from the former Nott Terrace High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was employed for several years for the County of Schenectady, retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicle in 1998. After retiring, he was currently working with his brother at Glenville Tile. Vic was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Christine and her husband Michael Clum of Wilton; beloved grandchildren, Victoria Johnson, Matthew Rispoli and Joshua Clum; his devoted brothers, Julius Sciocchetti, of Schenectady, Enrico and his wife MaryAnn Sciocchetti, of Ballston Spa; Bruno and his wife Celia Sciocchetti, of Niskayuna and Rocco and his wife Kathleen Sciocchetti, of Ballston Lake; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Road, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
