ALBANY – Victor O. Nava, 95, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, April 17, 2026. Victor was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on December 23, 1930, the son of the late Luis and Carmen Echeverria Nava. He was raised and educated in Mexico City, where he also attended college. In the summer of 1954, Victor immigrated to the United States from Mexico City, bringing with him a specialized skill as an imprintor. He settled in Albany, New York, where he built a lifelong career in the printing industry. He worked at Williams Press serving as a foreman, Clarity Publishing, and continued his work with the Times Union and Mt. Eagle in Hunter, remaining dedicated to his craft throughout his life. Victor was a kind and devoted family man who worked throughout his life to support his loved ones and provide them with a beautiful life. He will be remembered for his strength, humility, strong work ethic, and his deep love for his family. Victor was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine Ramer Nava; his stepdaughter, Virginia Ferlazzo; his granddaughter Tonya Redman; his siblings, Carlos Nava, Emma Nava, and Rubin Nava. He is survived by his children, Victor O. Nava Jr. and Sylvia Nava; the mother of his children, Cristina (Nava) Lundin; his stepson, Stephen Ferlazzo; his grandchildren, Nicole Nava, Heather (Tristan) Swanson, Brian (Becca) Razin, Stephen (Kimberly) Ferlazzo Jr., and Lisa (Dean) Attanasio; his great grandchildren, Bellamy Swanson, Hendrik Swanson, Robert Redman, Anthony Yezzo, and Angela Yezzo; and many loving nieces and nephews, including Lisa (Tim) Sutter, Rita (Rocco) Floes, and Bobby (Bonnie) Nava, who held a special place in his heart. He will be deeply missed. Relatives and friend may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home 501 Union Street on Wednesday, April 29th from 4 to 6 PM.
