AMSTERDAM- Troy Patrick Zabawczuk, 44, died early Wednesday morning at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a pedestrian train accident.
Troy was born in Charleston, SC and raised in Broadalbin, NY, the son of Thomas Zabawczuk (Stella) of Windsor, NY and Karen D'Amore of Broadalbin, NY. He worked in the masonry and landscaping fields.
He is survived by his parents; three sons, SSGT Patrick (Jessica) Earl of Fultonville, NY, Justin Brockhum of Gloversville, NY and Troy Zabawczuk, Jr. of Amsterdam, NY. Five grandchildren, Kassidy and Liam Earl, Aubree, Emalee and Kierra Brockhum. Siblings, Jody Zabawczuk Morin of Albany, NY and Travis (Virginia) D'Amore of Gloversville, NY.
He will be cremated in Rochester and the family will hold a memorial service in the late spring.
