Tina Bianchi

Niskayuna – Elvira "Tina" Micieli Bianchi, 64, of Angelina Drive, died, surrounded by her loving family, at home on Sunday, March 17, 2013 after a brief illness.

Tina was born in Goshen, New York on November 19, 1948. She was the beloved daughter of Dolores "Dolly" Micieli and the late Victor J. Micieli of Walden, New York.

She is survived by her loving husband whom she married in 1972, Vincent Bianchi of Niskayuna, and their cherished daughter Lisa Bianchi (Jason) of New York City. She is also survived by her beloved brother Peter "Mickey" Micieli and sister-in-law Beth, nephews Peter Micieli (Khalan), and Christopher Micieli (Jennifer). She was also the beloved daughter-in-law of Martin "Armondo" Bianchi and the late Rose Bianchi. Other survivors include her step-nieces and nephews Joseph and Brett Amorosi (Ashley) and Audra Carpenito (Lenny), and her much adored grandniece and grandnephew Chloe and Vinny Micieli.

Tina was a graduate of Valley Central High School in Montgomery, New York. She also graduated from Russell Sage College with a Bachelor of Arts in French and from SUNY Albany with a Masters in Teaching. She went on to teach for over 30 years in the Shenendehowa Central School District where she served as a mentor to many colleagues and was beloved and admired by her co-workers and students. A dedicated educator, she continued in her retirement to tutor students in Spanish and French.

An avid golfer, Tina enjoyed her retirement years as a member of the Edison Club where she recorded a hole-in-one on the fifth hole on October 8, 2011. She loved to travel with her husband and friends. She also loved to vacation with her family especially in Ogunquit, Maine and visit her daughter in New York City.

Above all, she will be remembered for her ever-present beautiful smile, kind spirit and friendly personality. Tina was adored by everyone who came to know her.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 20th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Seward Place in Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. followed by internment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements by Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home.
