Thomas A. Burns Jr.

NISKAYUNA - Thomas A. Burns Jr., 86, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, after suffering a stroke.
Mr. Burns was born on July 18, 1937, a son of the late Thomas A. Burns Sr. and Marie (Sullivan) McElhone. Tom was a lifelong resident of Schenectady County. He worked as a welder at General Electric, retiring after many years of dedicated service. He loved watching old movies, was an excellent drawer, and was an avid collector of all things.
Tom always looked and acted younger than his chronological age. Whenever anyone needed help with a project, Tom was always the first one in line to assist, a true friend to all.
In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his aunt, Mary Burns; and his uncle, Arthur Sullivan, and his wife Cam.
He is survived by many cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 am at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, with Fr. Richard A. Carlino, officiating.
