SCHENECTADY – Theresa Ann Palkovic, 64, entered into eternal rest on Monday, at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her adoring family.
Theresa was born in Amsterdam on December 15, 1948 a daughter of the late John Palkovic and Geneveive Babrowicz. She attended Schenectady schools and continued her education at Spencer Business Institute. For 23 years, Theresa worked devoutly for the YWCA in Schenectady. She began her career working in various positions and retired as an Administrative Assistant in 2011, as her health began to decline. Theresa was a loving and caring mother, mima, sister and friend. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and was a huge NASCAR fan.
She is survived by her loving children, Christopher Foster, of Willow Spring, NC, Sherri Famiano and Samantha Palkovic-Torelli, both of Schenectady; devoted sister, Jo-An Palmer and her husband Keith, of Glenville; grandchildren, Caitlyn Foster, Brett Torelli, RickiLynn Famiano and Deangelene Famiano; a niece, Amy DeVito, a nephew, Richard Palmer and his wife Allison; a great niece and three great nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street with Fr. Richard A. Carlino, officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 am.
