SCHENECTADY – Theresa E. Castelli Napolitana, 81, died Wednesday, July 28, at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late John and Mary Jeggabi Castelli. She graduated from the former St. Columba High School where she was a head cheerleader and played piano. She attended Spencer Business Institute and worked briefly for ALCO products. Theresa worked at Rosens Pharmacy and as an Executive Secretary for the Capital District OTB for over 25 years. She was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a benefactor to many beloved organizations.
Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Carl A. Napolitana and her brother John R. Castelli.
Theresa is survived by her loving sons, Carl Napolitana and his wife Patricia and James Napolitana, all of Niskayuna; grandchildren Christopher, and Anthony James Napolitana; two great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her brother Vincent J. Castelli of Schenectady.
Services will held Saturday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
