Tammy M. Bell Mccarroll-Lence

SCHENECTADY – Tammy Bell-Lence, 53, of the Stockade, passed away at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Tammy was born on October 6, 1969, to Harold T. Bell, Sr., and Geraldine Randolph in Schenectady. She attended Mt. Pleasant High School, where she was a cheerleader and studied Nursing. She became a CNA in 1988, working for Nurse Finders and later Nurse Connection.
A hard-working woman, Tammy also tended bar at Lee & Sons on State Street and Casey’s on McClellan Street. In 1999 she started her dedicated career in security at Center City and in 2005 Metroplex in the downtown Schenectady parking lots for LAZ. While at LAZ she was awarded #1 customer service Representative in the downtown area and on June 22, 2015, received a resolution from Mayor Gary McCarthy recognizing Tammy’s 15 years of service.
Tammy was predeceased by her beloved infant son, Robert “Robby” McCarroll; her loving baby brother Harold T. Bell, Jr. and darling big sister Laura Olds.
Tammy is survived by her devoted husband Paul Lence, whom she married July 9, 2008; Sweet, kind, and warm-hearted sons, Gary (Jordan) McCarroll and Michael McCarroll., Exceptional grandchildren, Michael Jr., Liam, Aiden, and Jayden McCarroll; a brother, Christopher Bell; sisters, Victoria Bell and Barbara (John) Willey; sister-in-law, Lorie ( John) Robinson and brother-in-law, Stanley (Julie) Lence; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews: her dearest friends and confidants, her “JBL” Jayme B. Lahut, Bonnie Keller, and her #1 Boss, Ronnie Baldwin.
A private viewing for immediate family will be held at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend public calling hours on Monday, August 28th from 12 noon to 1 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life, led by Rev. Ronald Hunt and Walter Simpkins, on the main stage at Proctors Theater, located at 432 State Street, Schenectady.
