Sylvia M. Rossi

Niskayuna- Sylvia M. Rossi, 91, formerly of Nott Street, entered into eternal peace on Saturday at the Kingsway Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Sylvia was born in Schenectady and graduated with honors from the former Mont Pleasant High School. She then attended and graduated from Russell Sage College, in Troy, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Sylvia was a devoted homemaker and communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
She was predeceased in death by her sister, Marie Richardson.
Survivors include her beloved husband Edward C. Rossi; loving daughter Teresa R. Rossi of Delmar; sister, Antoinette “Toni” Patten of Sarasota, FL; brother-in-law, William Richardson of Hamburg, NY; nephews, David Richardson, of Hamburg, NY, Paul Richardson, of Lafayette, CA and Robert Rossi, of MA; several grandnephews.
Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Interment to follow the Mass in the Rossi family plot at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Monday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia’s memory to the St. Anthony’s Church Memorial Fund, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady, NY 12305 or to a charity of one’s choice.
