ITHACA - Susan H. Page, 94, formerly of Schenectady and Argyle,NY passed away peacefully on Friday May 4,2012 at Oakhill Manor Nursing Home in Ithaca,NY.
Susan was born in Schenectady and moved to Argyle with her husband to establish Page's Market.
After the death of her husband Anthony Page in 1958, Susan and her son Robert continued to operate Page's Market . In 1969, Susan sold the business and returned to Schenectady.
Susan devoted her life to family and was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include 4 children Robert L(Dorothy) of Greenwich,NY; Gerald F.(Suzanne) of Avon Park, Florida; Diane J.(Charles) of Ithaca,NY and Rita Cacchillo(Michael) of Boise, Idaho. Other survivors include two sisters-Nancy Mancini(Carl) of Schenectady, Mary Whelan of Naples, Florida and a brother Joseph Giordano also of Schenectady. Susan also has numerous nieces and nephews, as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, May 19th at 10:15 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pleasant Street, where a mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street Saturday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.
