Steven V. Randazzo Jr.

SCHENECTADY – Steve V. Randazzo, Jr., 50, passed away, with his loving family at his bedside at Ellis Hospital Sunday morning, after a valiant battle with COVID-19.
Steve was born in Staten Island, a son of the late Steve Randazzo and Diane Carlson. He located to Schenectady in 1984. Steve worked as the head custodian for the Schenectady City School District at Hamilton Elementary for over 20 years and was currently vice president of SCSD Local 886, Unit 8509. He was an avid car buff; a NASCAR enthusiast, especially a fan of #48 Jimmy Johnson and loved anything bulldogs. Steve was kind, honest and hardworking, a devoted husband, father and friend to many. He would help anyone with anything they needed at the drop of a hat.
He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife, Jennifer Honicki Randazzo whom he married on February 14, 1991; loving sons, Steven (Josh) Randazzo, Michael (Alicia) Randazzo; siblings, Jason (Kimberly) Randazzo, Jamie and Scott Randazzo; mother-in-law, Bernice DeAngelo Honicki, brother and sister-in-law, Stephen Honicki and Kathi Brehm; and his Staten Island family; his fur baby Gus; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., followed by a Mass at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, at 11 am.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 to 7pm.
