Stephen Paul Joseph Gauthier (59), most recently of Schenectady, passed away on Sunday 11/19/23 peacefully in his sleep. He is predeceased by his parents, Francis Gauthier and Karen (Lascore) Gauthier, and step-father Joe, as well as his brother Jimmy and sister Debbie. He is survived by his children: Laura Lewis (Sean Sherman), Amber Gauthier (Gary Dymond), and Kyle Gauthier (Valerie Porter), his grandchildren Aurin Pierce, Eliza Dymond, and Elena Dymond, his ex-wife Christine Lewis, as well as his sister Bonnie and brothers Frank, Donald and Quinton, nieces and nephew Jennifer, Jessica, Amanda, Cassie, Serena and Francis and others, and great nieces and nephews.
Steve was born in Westfield Massachusetts on September 6th, 1964. In his childhood, he enjoyed horseback riding, archery, and blacksmithing where he made swords, fishing, and model cars. He loved Raisin Bran from childhood straight through to adulthood. In his adult life, he was a tattoo artist, a welder, a mechanic, and a lover of all things Harley Davidson. He worked on cars and custom-built motorcycles for himself and others in his free time. He was Co-Founder and Co-President of the Greylock Riders MC in 2001 in Pittsfield, MA, and continued riding with and without clubs until his passing.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was known as "Pa" and was the happiest with them.
Steve would not want to be remembered as "lighting up the room" or being "a joy to be around". Steve would want to be remembered as the Bastard he was proud to call himself. He was stubborn and stuck in his ways, he was loud about his beliefs, and he was loved fiercely for being exactly who he was.
Services will not be held, and the family is asking anyone who would like to attend a gathering to please follow the Facebook page made in Steve's memory (

) as they would like to organize a motorcycle ride in the spring.
