Stanley Anthony Zielinski, Jr.

ROTTERDAM JUNCTION- Stanley A. Zielinski, 89, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday at home with his loving family at his side.
Stanley was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Stanislaw and Bronislawa Zielinski. He lived on a farm with his family and attended a one room school house in West Glenville. Stan honorably served in the United States Army during WWII, in the Pacific Theatre stationed in Japan and Hawaii. Stan worked as a truck driver for the American Locomotive, Cushing Stone and Callahan Industries in Glenville and Cranesville, retiring in 1987. Stan was a hardworking and devoted husband and father. He loved being outdoors; working on his automobiles; gardening and could repair most anything. He was a member of the Rotterdam Eagles; Polish American Veterans; Guan-Ho-Ha Fish &Game Club; a life member of the VFW, Post 357 and a communicant of St. Margaret of Cortona Church.
The family would like to thank Dr's Vakiener, Schumacher, Rahman, Smith, Gupta and Jacobs and Linda Davis, NP, for their kindness and care throughout Stan's illness.
Stan was predeceased by his siblings, Alex, Louis, Elsie, Irene, Jean and Helen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Madeline Albanese Zielinski; loving daughter Nancy McCrary and her husband Tom, of Rotterdam; grandson, Michael Randolph, of Schenectady; great-grandson Jordan Randolph; brother, Walter Zielinski and his wife Jane, of Rotterdam Junction; brother-in-law, Joe Albanase, of Schenectady; sister-in-law, Kate Zielinski and many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street with Fr. Michael Hogan officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 1228 Main Street, Rotterdam Junction, NY 12150.
