Sikander Samuel

January 1, 1976 — January 12, 2026

Niskayuna, New York—Sikander Samuel, 50, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Albany due to a tragic car accident at his work place. He was born on January 1, 1976, to Samuel Ilyas and Rani Samuel.

Sikander grew up in Lahore, Pakistan, where he attended Laal School. From a young age, he showed curiosity, intelligence, and a natural ability to learn and adapt. Sikander married the love of his life, Ghazala Sikander, on December 14, 1997, in Lahore, Pakistan. He was a devoted husband and a deeply loving father to his three children, David, Daniel, and Nida Sikander, for whom he worked tirelessly throughout his life. He began his professional journey as a photographer, moving to Dubai at a young age where he worked for Buzz Company. With determination and hard work, he saved enough money to establish his own venture, Ghazala Landscaping Business. Despite facing business challenges, Sikander never gave up. His life was a testament to resilience and courage. Later, he moved with his family to Saudi Arabia, where he started working as a steel fixer. Through his intelligence, strong work ethic, and impressive personality, he advanced to an accountant role at a Saudi Lebanese company, where he worked for eight years. He later started a home maintenance business with a Saudi partner. After parting ways due to differences, Sikander continued forward and eventually worked as an accountant for Kayan Basmir Paints, a job he truly loved. Driven by his dream of giving his children a better future and the “American dream,” Sikander moved to the United States and continued working day and night to support his family. Sikander was known as a true “Har Fun Mola” — a jack of all trades. He was incredibly intelligent and fearless in trying new things.

Even when he didn’t know how to do something, he believed in learning by trying, whether it was fixing his car, repairing things around the house, or helping his wife in the kitchen. He was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for his family. After cooking, he would sit patiently and wait for his children to give him their honest feedback, smiling proudly as he listened. He was also a joyful dancer who would dance to Punjabi songs just to make his family laugh. He would play cricket with his family in the living room. He loved singing and filling the home with warmth and life. Sikander was kind-hearted and pure in spirit. He held no grudges and never had ill feelings toward anyone. He was known in the neighborhood for his confidence and enthusiasm—once even cutting down a tree in front of his home while neighbors gathered to watch, amazed by his fearlessness and determination

.Above all, Sikander was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a man who lived for his family. His joy, energy, kindness, and sacrifices will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy continues through his children, who carry his strength, values, and dreams forward .
