Sharyn L. Ezzo

NISKAYUNA- Sharyn L. Ezzo, 69, entered into eternal peace on Friday at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Sharyn was born in Albany on December 27, 1944, a daughter of Rosalie Chandler Garrity and the late John C. Garrity. She was a 1962 graduate of Niskayuna High School and attended Spencer Business College. In 1967 she received a certification from the Red Cross as a licensed Nurses Aide. Sharyn worked for over 20 years for Dr. Corbett, assisting in many capacities within the office. Sharyn was a lively spirited woman with a kind and loving heart. Her dedication to her family and faith was evident in the way she lived her life. Sharyn was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, participating as an Eucharist Minister at church, Ellis and Sunnyview Hospitals she also served on the Parish Council. She embraced her family and friends and the precious time she spent with them, whether it was camping in Schroon River, vacationing in Florida or visiting the casinos. Sharyn had a insatiable desire to learn as much as she could, making her an avid reader. With her talented visions, she loved to do crafts, and for a time owned and operated with her mother-in-law, Sharbet's Craftique on McClellan Street. She enjoyed bowling, cooking and gardening. Sharyn married the love of her life, John Ezzo on September 28, 1964. Together, they recently celebrated with family and friends, 50 wonderful years together. She is survived by her beloved husband John Ezzo; her children, John Mario and his wife Elizabeth Ezzo, of Auburn, WA and Lisa Marie Manchester and her husband Bradley, of Ft. Myers, FL; mother, Rosalie Garrity; loving siblings, Stephanie G. Kleindienst and John E. Garrity; nieces and nephew, Jennifer Kleindienst, Jennifer and Justin Coletti , Matthew and Trish Ezzo and the late Mark A. Ezzo; great-nephew and niece, Justice Coletti and Norah Rose Ezzo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anthony and Diane Ezzo and Linda and Richard Jones. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, where a Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Entombment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sharyn's memory to St. Anthony's Restoration Fund, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady, NY 12305.
