CLIFTON PARK - Sharon E. Fazio, 77, entered peacefully into the Arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospice, after a year’s long battle with cancer, with her loving husband Joe by her side.
Sharon was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late James and Marjorie Fountain Wilson. She was a 1965 Notre Dame High School graduate and worked at Central Markets and Price Chopper, retiring in 2005 after 37 years of service.
A woman of great faith, she was kind, loving, and devoted to her cherished family. She was a communicant of St. Luke’s and St. Edward the Confessor Churches.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Wilson and Maureen Wilson.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, of 20 years, Joseph Fazio; her children, Joseph (Abbie) Putrock, Kelli Morningstar, and Jason (Nicole) Fazio, grandchildren, Calder Putrock, Alexis, (twins) Amanda and Samantha, Sophia, and Liam Morningstar, Annalise, and Augustino Fazio; step-children, Joseph (Sue) Fazio, Lisa (Gene) Knowlton; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Nicole, Casey Fazio; Tim Bleyl and Mariah Beach. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Denise (Joseph) Kopacz and Mark (Kimberly) Wilson; sister-in-law, Kim Williams Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 18th, at 9:30 am at St. Luke’s Church
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the calling hours on Wednesday, July 17th, from 4 to 7 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady.
Interment will take place in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville at a later date.
