Sapphira Eunique Washington

SCHENECTADY – Sapphira Eunique Washington, age 4, was embraced into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2023. She is now resting in eternal peace.
Sapphira was born in Schenectady on October 25, 2018. She loved singing, dancing, learning, and spending time with family and friends. Her smile would light the room; her hugs were warm and loving. Sapphira’s personality was sweet, energetic, and exciting! She loved to play like any child and look pretty.
Sapphira will be remembered for her beautiful smile and the love she showed for her family. She will always be remembered in our hearts.
Sapphira was predeceased by her grandfather, Richard Washington, Sr.; uncle, Richard Washington, Jr., great-great grandma, Muguette Coffin and great-great-grandfather, Robert Coffin, Jr.
Sapphira, our angel is survived by her loving family, her mother, La’Keya Washington; siblings, Umoja Bryant and Kazmere Johnson; grandmothers, Bethanne Washington and Cynthia Bryant of NC; grandfather William (Wendy) Blanchard, Jr.; great-great-grandmother, Christine Page Williams, known as great grandma-ma; grandmother, Eunice Gibson; great-grandfather, William (Marilyn) Blanchard, Sr.; great-grandmother, Patricia Washington; uncles, Tahishiem Blanchard, Jasias Blanchard, and Nathan Blanchard; an aunt, Ar’lea Cooper and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
The Washington family would like to extend their most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Leander Morgan, Jr. Funeral Director, at Haskins Funeral Home, for his kindness, support, and professionalism.
Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 12 noon at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Avenue, Albany, NY 12202, with Pastor Victor E. Covington, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, NY.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 am until 12 noon at Union Missionary Baptist Church.
