Rosemary Rose Mashuta
June 21, 1923 — March 3, 2015
REXFORD – RoseMary J. 'Rose' Mashuta, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, surrounded by the love of her family.
Rose was born and educated in Schenectady. She was a longtime resident of Front and Jefferson Streets in the Stockade and worked for many years at the family business, "Corner Tavern" and for over 30 years at Mastroianni Bakery.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Mashuta whom she married October 16, 1948 and he died on December 12, 1978 and her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, John Nedvidek; Mary and Steve Kollath.
Survivors include her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Makary 'Mackey' and Linda Mashuta, of Rexford; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Vera Nedvidek of Schenectady, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., (at N. Jay) with Fr. Alexis Duncan, officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon until the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to Nativity of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church, 617 Sand Creek Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
