Rose Marie Pennucci

CLIFTON PARK - Rose Marie Pennucci, a loving mother, beloved grandmother, and loyal friend passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. She was 84 years young.

Rose Marie was born in Brooklyn on January 9, 1939, to the late Anthony and Mary (Rizzo) Bruno. She retired from the NYS Assembly accounting department after more than 20 years of service. Survivors include her beloved sons Steven (Callie) Penn, and David Pennucci, dear friend and caregiver Sharon Scarchilli; her grandchildren, Megan Penn (Nick), Mikayla Penn, Liam Penn, Collin Penn, Grace Pennucci and Nick Pennucci; adopted daughters Dawn (Jeffrey) Harrington and Stephanie Tibbitts; her two adopted grandchildren Meghan (McKinley) Brumback and Amanda (Dennis)Turner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Rose was loved by anyone who met her because she was a straight shooter. She loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends; was an avid reader and loved playing cards and gambling at the Casino.
Relatives and friends may call at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad Street (Rte 32) Waterford on Thursday from 4-7 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 12 noon, in St. Edward the Confessor Church, Clifton Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Rose Marie Pennucci to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
