Romanina Loreta Di Cocco

SCHENECTADY- Romanina Di Cocco, 46, of Lenox Road, died suddenly Saturday evening at Ellis Hospital, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Fontechiari, province of Frosinone, Italy on June 8, 1964, the daughter of Filomena Di Legge Di Cocco and the late Antonio Di Cocco. She immigrated to Schenectady in 1971; and attended St. Anthony’s elementary school and then enrolled in the Schenectady Public School System. Romanina worked as a health care aide, caring for many of the homebound. She worked with Visiting Nurses, local churches and private duty. She later worked for Union College.
Romanina was predeceased by her father Antonio Di Cocco in 2005 and a brother Vincent Di Cocco in 2000.
She is survived her loving mother Filomena Di Cocco, loving and devoted son, Michael Barton; nephews, Vincent and Michael Di Cocco; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Thursday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, where a mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm.
