Roger J. Lapointe

GLENVILLE – Roger J. LaPointe, 58, entered peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Albany Medical Center, after complications of Muscular Dystrophy.
Roger was born in Niskayuna on September 1, 1959, a son of Nancy Czub LaPointe and the late John C. LaPointe, Sr. He graduated from Niskayuna High School and served in the US Air Force. Roger worked as a computer service tech for Pitney Bowes for many years. Roger embraced life with gusto, kindness and a witty sense of humor.
Roger was predeceased by his father, John C. LaPointe, Sr. and a brother, Robert J. LaPointe.
He is survived by his beloved wife, caregiver and best friend, Irene Bojarczuk LaPointe, whom he married on September 7, 1985; loving mother Nancy LaPointe; devoted brothers, John C. LaPointe, Jr. and his wife Kathleen and Daniel M. LaPointe; mother and father- in-law, Rita and Peter Bojarczuk, who thought of Roger as a son; brothers-in-law, Anthony Bojarczuk and his wife Anna and Peter Bojarczuk and his wife Linda; his nephews and niece who he adored and was so very proud of, John LaPointe, III and his wife Leah, Matthew LaPointe, Nicholas, Peter and Bianca Bojarczuk; several aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Madeline Sophie Church on Monday from 8 to 10 am.
