SCHENECTADY – Robert G. 'Bobby' Urban, 71, died on August 18, 2015 at Ellis Hospital, after a brief illness.
Bobby was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Bronislaw and Helen LuBrant Urban. He attended St. Adalbert School and graduated from Bishop Gibbons, class of 1962. He received his certification from St. Clare's radiation program and worked for many years as a technician there. He possessed many talents and loved the cultural arts, participating in the St. Clare's Follies each year. Bobby enjoyed having fun, the casino and most important to him was his family.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard B. Urban, Barbara H. Sausville and Paul M. Urban.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Doris Urban; an aunt, Regina LuBrant; many devoted and loving nieces and nephews and his best buddy, his dog Jack.
Services will be held on Friday at 11 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, with Fr. Carl Urban, officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 10 am until the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to St. Adalbert's Church, 530 Lansing St. Schenectady, NY.
