Robert J. Lapointe

GLENVILLE – Robert J. LaPointe, 56, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning embraced with the love and prayers of his family. Bob was born in Schenectady a son of Nancy Czub LaPointe and the late John C. LaPointe, Sr. He was raised in Glenville and graduated from Niskayuna High School, class of 1979. He was a sports enthusiast; NY Yankee's, NY Jet fan and he had a passion for movies.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Nancy Czub LaPointe; devoted brothers, John C. (Kathleen) LaPointe, Jr., Roger J. (Irene) LaPointe and Daniel M. LaPointe, Sr.; his treasured nephews, John C (Leah) LaPointe, III and Matthew H. LaPointe; several aunts, uncles and several cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9am. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
