Rita Mangino

SCHENECTADY- Rita Mangino, died peacefully on January 16, 2013 at the Ellis Health Center following a brief illness.
Rita was born Rita Patrignani on October 10, 1923 daughter of the late Enrico and Candida and married Jack Mangino in November 1947. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and sister. Rita always had an eye for fashion. She shared her special talent for women's clothing, by working at the Boston Store, The Country Miss and finally for 25 years at Musler's in Schenectady.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1990, her son Jack Jr., in 2004 and her sister Ida Gardino in 2012.
Rita is survived by her children, Michael Mangino and his wife Judy (Leavitt) Mangino, of Clifton Park and Patty (Kelly) Mangino, of Schenectady; sister Enes Miceli; beloved grandchildren, Melissa Mangino, Amy Mangino, Christopher and Kelly Mangino, Jamie and Sana Kelly, Marc Mangino and Michael A. Mangino; and a great grandson Mason James Mangino. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, each having a special place in her heart.
Services will be held on Monday at 11 am at the Rossi & Ditoro, Union at N. Jay Streets, interment will follow at 12 noon in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 to 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rita's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
