Rickie Alan Vanburen

SCHENECTADY – Rickie A. VanBuren, 53, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021at Ellis Hospital, after a short illness.
Rickie was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Kathryn VanBuren. He attended Linton High School and worked at County Waste and Tri-City Rentals. For many years, Rickie has been employed in the maintenance department for Living Resources. Rickie enjoyed hunting and snowmobile racing; he loved traveling and working in the pit crew with Kislowski Racing. Rickie was a kind and generous man; a proud and loving father, grandfather, and brother, and the first to hop in to help anyone in need.
Rickie was predeceased by his mother Kate, and a niece, Liana LaMountain-McCarthy.
He is survived by his children, Miranda VanBuren (Carman Cammarere) and Richard VanBuren; a brother, Randy (Tina) VanBuren; grandchildren, Arabella and Benjamin Cammarere; a nephew, Sean (Valerie) Mahoney, 3 great-nephews; many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 4-6 pm.
Interment will be held at 10 am on Monday in Schenectady Memorial Park.
