ALBANY – Richard F. Hotaling, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Columbia Hospital.
Richard was born in Albany on April 4, 1932 a son of the late William and Emma DeForge Hotaling. He attended St. Ann's Academy and honorably served in the Unite State Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 195 receiving the Korean Service Medal with four bronze service stars and the United Nations Service Medal. Richard worked in the maintaince department for the City of Albany, retiring after many years of devoted service. He was a member of the VFW William Wigland Post.
Richard is survived by his sister, Ann M. Rose, of Albany; many nieces and nephews and his very dear friends, Lois Macerola and family, of Rotterdam. He was predeceased by his siblings, William, Jr. Thomas, Edward, Joan, James, Francis and Elizabeth.
Services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St. Schenectady with Rev. Frank Corrdero officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
