SCHENECTADY—Rebecca Rae Murton, 22, of Catherine Street, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 19, 2010, her 8 ½ month unborn daughter, Ahllia Giselle Nadene Witherspoon, entered into the Arms of the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2010, both as a result of an automobile accident.
Rebecca was born in Schenectady on September 3, 1988. She attended Schenectady schools and was a proud 2006 graduate of Schenectady High School. She worked as a delivery person for NY Pizza in Schenectady. Rebecca was a tender and loving mom; her children were the light of her world.
Survivors include her adoring children, Malachi and Vahlanah Witherspoon; and their father, Marcus Witherspoon; her loving mother, Mary Kielty, of Schenectady; father, Bill Murton and his wife Lisa, of Winooski, VT; siblings, Zachary Kielty and his companion Patrisha Powell, Meri Abbott and her husband John, all of Schenectady and Steven Kielty, of Saratoga; grandfather, Jim Kielty, of SC; a niece, two nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and loved ones.
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:30 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street, with the Rev. James Belogi, officiating. Interment will follow in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm.
Memorial contributions in Memory of Rebecca and Ahllia, to aid in the care of Malachi and Vahlanah may be made at the Funeral Home.
