SCHENECTADY - Phyllis J. "Walsh" Gallione, 67, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, January 24, 2016; surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer.
Phyllis was born in Cobleskill, the daughter of the late John and Ethel Walsh. She attended Mohonasen High School, where she met her beloved husband Anthony L. Gallione, II. She worked for many years as a private duty nurse. Phyllis was the most beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and big sister. She will be dearly missed but always present in everyone that she touched and loved.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Anthony L. Gallione, II; three beautiful sons, Anthony L. (Katrina) Gallione, III, of TN, Ronald E. Gallione, of Schenectady and Michael Gallione, of VA; devoted daughter, Sherry Gallione (Karah), of Schenectady; three beloved grandchildren, Anthony, IV, Angelo and Isabella Gallione; siblings, John (Bette) Walsh, of Fultonville, Ronald (Maureen) Walsh, Glen Walsh and Thomas Walsh, all of Schenectady, Charlene (Sam) Monaco, of Rotterdam, Darlene (Wiley) Shedina, of Guilderland, Diane Walsh, and Suzanne (Michael) Almond, all of Schenectady; several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Pepē.
Services will be held on Thursday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, at 1 pm, with Jack Arnold, officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 am until the service.
