ROTTERDAM – Phyllis A. Frederick, 89, a loving caring woman of great faith, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025.
Phyllis was born in Schenectady, on June 25, 1935, to the late Frank and Mary (Varriale) Caringi. A proud graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Class of 1953, she spent many years working as a dedicated receptionist before embracing her most cherished role—that of a homemaker. With love and devotion, she poured her heart into raising her three sons, creating a home filled with guidance, and unwavering support. Beyond her role as a mother, Phyllis was a pillar of strength and compassion for her aging parents, Arthur and Mary Pallante, tending to their health and personal needs. Her care and devotion were a true blessing to them, a testament to her selfless nature and boundless love for family. Phyllis gave of her talents, which also included countless gifts, including her hand quilted items, to family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her best friend and father of her sons, Bud Frederick.
Phyllis is survived by her loving sons, Michael (Kathie) Frederick, Daniel (Kimberly) Frederick and Richard Frederick; seven adoring grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Our last “Be Good and Take Care” for now. Thank you for everything grandma, and love you always. Always.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2 pm at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
