SCHENECTADY – Pauline A. Pasquarella, 95, formerly of Raymond Street, died May 21, 2012, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center.
Pauline was born April 1, 1917, in Schenectady a daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Riccitello Malgiere. She was educated in Schenectady schools and graduated from the former Nott Terrace High School, class of 1935. She was employed as a waitress for Riccitello's Restaurant on Front Street for several years and then at Hennessey's Restaurant on Foster Avenue which then became John Riccitello's Restaurant, where she continued working until she retired in 1991. Pauline was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony's Church; a member of St. Paul's Seniors and the Gabriele D'Annunzio, Sons of Italy Lodge #321.
Nick Pasquarella, who she married on August 3, 1941, died October 3, 1995. She was predeceased by siblings, Joseph Malgiere, Mary DeSiena, James Sanders, Louise Sands and Doris Ferri.
Survivors include her loving children; Paul M. Pasquarella of Chazy Lake, NY and Suanne Pasquarella, of Buffalo, NY; siblings, Charles Malgiere and Angelina Leather, of Schenectady; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
With respect to Pauline's wishes she will be cremated and interment will be private.
A Memorial Service will be held June 2, at 12:15 PM at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at North Jay Streets, with Fr. Richard A. Carlino, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, from 10am until the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's memory to the activities fund of the Kingsway Community, 323 Kings Road, Schenectady, NY, 12304.
