Paula Jean Matarazzo-Pemberton age 49, passed on peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends on March 28th 2021. Paula was born on April 6th 1971, in Schenectady NY to Roland and Doris Matarazzo. She met her true love, the center of her universe, and partner for eternity Geoffrey Nicholas Pemberton in 1998, and they married on September 24th 2011. They would share their life listening to and following beautiful music, visiting the Cape and Florida regularly, traveling, dancing endlessly, entertaining their amazing family and friends, and spending every moment possible next to one another, hand in hand. Paula is a graduate of Linton High school and attended Schenectady County Community College. She spent twenty-six years working for Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority, where her co-workers would become her forever friends. She is known to her clients and residents for her sweet smile and limitless compassion. Paula dedicated her life to offering successful guidance to all of those around her, showing immeasurable acts of kindness, and giving immense boundless love. Paula was a devoted loving Wife, a caring Sister, an amazing Aunt, an incredible Godmother, the Best Friend that you could have, and the Sweetest Soul. Paula was predeceased by her adoring parents Roland and Doris Matarazzo, her brother Ralph Matarazzo.
Paula is survived by her loving husband Geoffrey Pemberton, her siblings Andy and Maryland Matarazzo and Terri Matarazzo (Jack); her sisters in-law, Paula Matarazzo, Heidi Pemberton and Andy Morales and brother in-law Jay Pemberton her nieces and nephews Sheila and Lester Snyder, Logan and Ella Snyder, Sophia Morales, Rachel and Chris Rassam, Sophia and James Rassam, Brittany and CJ Callan, Aurora Callan, Erika and Robert Tanner; her aunt Patty Jacobson; her cousin Ricky Jacobson. Paula wanted everyone to know that you should “enjoy every sandwich”! RFB!
Services will be held on Saturday morning at 10 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Calling hours will be held on Friday April 2nd from 3pm to 7pm.
