Born on August 6, 1942, in Schenectady to Patrick and Lyda Lezzi, Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Capital Region. A graduate of Linton High School and the Junior College of Albany, she founded and operated Patricia’s Bridal Salon, a one-woman bridal boutique that served countless brides and families over its 15 successful years. Her career in retail spanned more than a quarter of a century, where she brought warmth, style, and professionalism to a variety of gift shops and boutiques. Patricia had a genuine love for working with the public and brought kindness to every customer interaction.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved aunts Edith and Sylvia DeLando, and great nephew Tyler D’Allaird. She is survived by her son Michael Bonagur, sister Janet D’Allaird, nephews Kevin (Whitney) D’Allaird, Scott (Danielle) D’Allaird, and Dan (Kristina) D’Allaird, great nieces Vivian, Adelaide, and Alexandra, great nephews Hayden, Matthew, and Tucker, and several cousins.
An ardent animal lover, Patricia spent decades caring for and feeding stray cats in her neighborhood, quietly but passionately advocating for their welfare. She found great joy in walks through the scenic campus of Union College and in the simple pleasures of life, including her favorite hamburgers and ice cream from Jumpin’ Jack’s Drive-In. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, reading, and time with family.
A funeral service honoring Patricia’s life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
