GLENVILLE – Patricia J. Jacobson, 85, entered into eternal rest, on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born in New London, CT, the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn DeWitt Henry. She located to Schenectady and was a graduate of Linton High School. She worked as a cashier at Save Way and P&C Market for over 30 years. Pat was a lifelong congregant of the First Presbyterian Church; living her faith showing kindness and compassion to all. Patricia was selfless in nature, always putting others before herself. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she carried herself with quiet grace, taking pride in her appearance as a reflection of who she was, a reflection of the dignity and care she brought to all aspects of her life. Above all, Patricia loved and cherished her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, bringing her endless joy and pride. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether it be at a school play, one of their sporting events or just walking and holding hands; her love will live on in the many memories they shared.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Donald Richard Jacobson; her longtime companion, Robert S. Zurlick; grandson, Jacob Amell; siblings, Barbara Pike, Doris Matarazzo and Thomas Henry, Jr.
Pat is survived by her devoted family; a son, Richard D. Jacobson; grandchildren, Zabrina Jacobson, Eric (Kaitlin) Amell, Nicole (Hakim) George; dear friend, Cathy Rich; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and her wonderful home health aides who cared for her with compassion, dignity and devotion night and day.
Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., with the Rev. John Califano, officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
