SCHENECTADY – Norman A. Clother, 66, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, PA, after a lengthy illness.
Norman was born in Schenectady on September 2, 1955, the son of the late Charles and Janet Lawya Clother. He graduated from High School and honorably served in the US Navy from 1972-1974. Norm was employed as a phone operator for Capital District OTB in Schenectady for many years. He was a kind and generous man; an avid Dallas Cowboy fan; and treasured his family.
Norm is survived by his loving children; Ashley (Jason) Armstrong; Corey Clother; step-son, Thomas VanBuren; his grandchildren, Eric Skinner, Cayleb Stewart, Izrael Armstrong, Makayla Clother, Kylee Clother, TJ VanBuren and Cadence VanBuren, and was expecting his 6th grandchild in April, 2022; his sisters, whom cared for their brother with love and respect, Lynne (Patrick, ‘PJ’) Derenzo, Lori (Gary) Levesque and Sharon (Clint) Currier; many favorite nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be held at a later date in Saratoga National Cemetery.
