SCHENECTADY – Nicholas J. Sheroka, Sr. 63, passed away at home on Monday, September 3, 2018 after being stricken.
Nick was born in Schenectady on July 4, 1955 a son of the late John and Margaret Oswalt Sheroka. He was a 1974 graduate of Linton High School and enlisted in the US Army, serving 22 years, stationed at Ft. Dix, Ft. Drum and Ft. Leonard Wood. Nick worked for Hess Gas Station and then Security at Ellis Hospital for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nicole Civitello Sheroka; children, Kelly, Nicholas Jr. (Cassandra), Kevin (Ashley), Corey, Mark Kane, Jr., Robert, Sr. (Cynthia), Ciara Kane, Carmen Sr., (Aljahnae), Bailey and Casey Sheroka; grandchildren, Triston, Robert, Jr., Jadon, Samuel, Simeon, and Carmen Sheroka, Jr., siblings, Mary (Larry) Truax, John (Denise) Sheroka and Joe (Candy) Sheroka; the late Sandy Hutching; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 am to 1 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street.
