Nicandro V. Ottaviano

SCHENECTADY – Nicandro ‘Nick’ Ottaviano, 94, entered peacefully into eternal rest at home on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Nick was born in Schenectady the son of Nicandro and Amelia Dente Ottaviano. He honorably served in the US Army during WWII. Nick worked as a bartender at Rody’s Bar and other local establishments throughout his lifetime.
He will always be remembered for his smile, smart wit, and kindness.
Nick was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie DeLissio Ottaviano: and siblings, Gioia Ottaviano, Orazio ‘Buddy’ Ottaviano, and Peter Ottaviano.
He is survived by his loving children, Dana (Joey) Ottaviano, Nicole and her husband Chuck Frederico, Marcia Ottaviano and Paul Ottaviano; grandchildren, Mike (Laura), Rocco (Jade), Johnny (Kaleigh) and Alexa; 9 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Arthur (Nancy) DeLissio.
Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home from 9 until the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s memory to the Animal Protective Foundation.
