SCHENECTADY- Nancy A. Pantano, 69, passed away Friday, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on April 11, 1945 a daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Gabriel Ruzza. She attended Oneida and later Linton High School. Nancy worked in the produce and meat departments for P&C Foods in the Big "N" Plaza. Aunt Nancy, as she was passionately know to all, was a kind, gentle and nurturing woman who was an amazing cook. She cherished and spoiled her grandchildren and was a second mother to the nieces and nephews she loved so dearly. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
She was predeceased by her parents and her loving brother, Larry Ruzzo.
Nancy is survived by her loving son, Dario Pantano and his wife Susan, of Castleton; grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Ruby Pantano; devoted siblings, Josephine Cellupica and her husband Frank, of Schenectady and Richard Ruzza, of Scotia and Renato and Donna Cellupica, of Guilderland; nieces and nephews, Tina Sharifipour, Dane and Mechel Cellupica; great nieces, Sofia (Sean) Donovan, Sarah Sharifipour, Andrea Gizzi, and Angie Santabarbara.
Services will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street (at N. Jay) and then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, where a Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
