Miss Rose M. Antonelli

December 22, 1919 — April 23, 2010

SCHENECTADY – Miss Rose M. Antonelli, 90, passed away on Friday at the Heritage Home for Women in Schenectady. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served Him through her generous support of His work. She was sustained throughout her life by a deep faith in God and the love of her family.
She was born December 22, 1919 in Schenectady to Onorato and Immaculata Maetta Antonelli. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and worked in the Turbine Department of General Electric for 47 years.
She was a life-long member of Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God. Aunt Rose, as she was known to many, was an avid baker and loved making goodies for her family and friends. She lived in the family homestead and took pride in maintaining a spotless home and yard.
She was preceded in death by twin sisters, Florence Venditti and Christine Pirro and brothers Onorato (Jim), Salvatore and Henry. Rose is survived by nine nieces and nephews, O. J. (Jim) Antonelli and his wife Barbara of Spring Hills, FL; Nick Venditti of Glenville, Rose Bartow and her husband Douglas of Summit, NY; Cynthia Lyman and her husband Kermit of Downingtown, PA; Louis Venditti and his wife Jean of Glenville; Allen Pirro and his wife Lucille of Tucson, AZ; Henry Antonelli of Saratoga Springs; Gary Antonelli of Niskayuna and Janet M. Neary of Scotia. She is also survived by 19 great-nieces and nephews; 24 great-great nieces and nephews; a great-great-great niece, several cousins and very dear friends who were faithful visitors during her stay at the Heritage Home.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Heritage Home for the compassionate care given to Aunt Rose.
Funeral services celebrating her life and honoring her memory will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets. Interment will follow in the Historic Vale Cemetery, Brandywine Ave.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Tuesday from 10:30 am until time of the service.
