Mildred C. "Millie" Caracciolo

SCHENECTADY – Mildred C. "Millie" Caracciolo, 91, entered peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
Millie was born on February 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Fusco) Patriarco. She attended St. Joseph's School. At an early age, with her unwavering wisdom and compassion, Mille helped in the care of her nieces and nephews. Millie volunteered her time during WWII, working with the American Red Cross. She was employed at Grant's Department Store and later at St. John the Evangelist Rectory, as a housekeeper for over 26 years. Millie was an accomplished cook, who cherished the weekly dinners she prepared for her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Millie was a faith filled woman who served her Lord with love and respect. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Millie was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis A. Caracciolo, whom she married on July 27, 1947 until his death on August 11, 1990; siblings, Mary Tannatta, Elvira "Vera" Basile, Louise Pedinotti and Anthony Patriarco.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Lois (Richard) Ferro and Joseph (Carol) Caracciolo; cherished grandchildren, Lisa (Baird) Joslin, Jason Ferro, Joseph D. (Amanda) Caracciolo and Jillian C. (Brody) Savoie; adoring great-grandchildren, Carina and Jacob Joslin, Logan and Ryan Ferro, and Roman and Reese Savoie; dear friend Shelley Mantello; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday at 10am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St. and then to St. Anthony's Church, where a Mass will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Millie's memory to St. Anthony's Church Restoration Fund, 331 Seward Place,
Schenectady, NY 12305.
