JOHNSON CITY, TN – Michele A. Laurange Trapp, 61, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Schenectady, NY, Michele was the daughter of Elva Basile Laurange and the late Robert J. Laurange. She was a 1982 graduate of Linton High School, where she met the love of her life, Earl A. Trapp. The couple shared 36 wonderful years of marriage.
Michele spent many years living in Hollywood, FL, before relocating to Johnson City about five years ago. She worked in the hospitality industry throughout her life, known and loved by many as part of the waitstaff. Michele had a vibrant personality — the life of the party who never took things too seriously and found joy in every moment. She had a deep love for her family, the ocean, swimming, music, and dancing.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Laurange.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Elva Laurange; her beloved husband, Earl A. Trapp; her cherished son, Earl A. Trapp III; and her precious granddaughter, Mallory K. Trapp, who was the light of her life. Michele is also survived by her siblings, Michael Laurange (Damaris), Anthony Laurange, and Deborah Laurange (Richard Devine); along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
