SCHENECTADY – Mary L. Santore DiCerbo, 96, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday at the Glendale Home.
Mary was born on January 20, 1916 in Watervliet, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina Notartvasio Santore. She attended Schenectady schools and aided the war effort, working at the Navy Depot during WWII. Mary worked as an office assistant for the General Electric Company. She was a devoted and loving homemaker, she treasured her husband, son, granddaughters and family. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony's Church and the Northside Seniors.
Mary was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Vincent DiCerbo on June 18, 1963; sisters, Rose Cirrone, Emma Fosegan, Hope 'Sponzi' Constantino, Antoinette Rossetti, Angelina 'Angie' Santore; brothers, Tony, Dominick and Michael Santore.
She is survived by her devoted son, Vincent DiCerbo and his wife Lynn of, Halfmoon, adoring granddaughters, Alicia DiCerbo and Marissa DiCerbo Suarez; brother, Frank 'Cheech' Santore, of Melbourne FL and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday from 5 to 7 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the activities department at Glendale Home, 59 Hetcheltown Road, Glenville, NY, 12302.
