SCHENECTADY – Mary F. Ippoliti, 62, was called to join her family and friends in Heaven on Thursday at home.
Mary was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Stevens Ippoliti. She graduated from Colonie High School and received her associate's degree from Schenectady Community College. Mary continued her education and in 1988, received her BA degree in education from the College of St. Rose. She chose to stay at home and raise her family, nurturing her children and embracing their accomplishments. She loved to cook and enjoyed holiday gatherings, traveling, history and was an avid fan of her NY Yankees.
Mary was predeceased by her brother, Thomas J. Craig, Jr. and a son-in-law, Robert Della Villa, Jr.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving daughters, Nicole (Vish) Caruso, of Coral Springs, FL, Denise (Caruso) Della Villa, of Schenectady, Melissa (Harold) Caruso-Martinez, of Queens, NY and Adrienne (Jason) Caruso Bailey, of Schenectady; her adoring grandchildren, Gayon, Amrita, Mason, Harrison, Catalina, Alexandra and Victoria; devoted siblings, Janet Craig Johnson, Steven Ippoliti, Sr. and Susan Ippoliti LaRose; the father of her daughters, David Caruso and his wife Roseann, a dear friend Lilian Donovan and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street (at N. Jay) on Saturday from 3 to 6 pm. A service will follow, officiated by Fr. John Facci.
Interment will be held on Tuesday at 10am St. Mary's Cemetery, Galway.
