Mary T. Catroppa

SCHENECTADY- Mary T. Catroppa, 92, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening at Ellis Hospital.
Mary was born in Rahway, NJ on September 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Anthony and Liberata Terrenzio. She was educated in Schenectady schools and worked for the General Electric Company and the family store on Strong Street. She was a loving and devoted homemaker to her husband and son. She was a communicant of St. Luke’s Church.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Rosario “Roy” Catroppa whom she married in 1947 and who passed away in 1987 and a brother, Attillio “Oddy” Terrenzio.
Mary is survived by her devoted son, Mark Catroppa and his wife Karen of Rotterdam; loving grandchildren, Michael Wright and his wife Pam of Albany, Jennifer Westerfield and her husband Phillip of Pearl, MS; sister, Rose Terrell of Rotterdam; sister-in-law Elda Terrenzio of Rotterdam; brother-in-law Salvatore “Sam” Catroppa of Rotterdam; several nieces and nephews; two longtime friends Beryl and Chris Schmid and Judy Raczes.
Services will be held Monday morning at 11am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to St. Luke’s Church, State St., where a Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Avenue.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday from 3 to 6 pm.
