Schenectady - Martin A. Corridore, 77, passed away peacefully, at the Stratton VA Hospital, leaving behind a lifetime of service, hard work, dedication to his family and many interests.

Born on April 2, 1949, at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Martin was the son of the late Amedeo and Clara Baues Corridore. As the son of a career military father, Martin's early years were spent traveling throughout the world. Martin attended military boarding school in Wiesbaden, Germany, graduating in 1966, after which, he was able to live with his beloved grandparents in the Bellevue neighborhood of Schenectady, New York.

In 1968, Martin was drafted into the United States Marine Corps, and proudly served his country in Vietnam.

Following his military service, Martin settled in Schenectady and began a long and dedicated career with General Electric in 1971. He remained with the company until his retirement in 1994.

Retirement did not slow him down. A licensed amateur (HAM) radio operator, Martin was known on the airwaves by his call sign “KB2WYW”. He also enjoyed video graphing and photography, capturing countless weddings and special occasions through his camera lens. Additionally, he worked as a limousine driver for Casual Limousine. Martin will be remembered for his patriotism, strong work ethic, and the many talents and interests that filled his life.

Martin was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife of 31 years, Christine Ryan Corridore.

He is survived by his devoted family; children, Andrew (Dawn) Corridore, Maria (Tristan Grasso) Corridore and Anna Corridore; and a grandson, Vincent Corridore; and loving extended family members; his brothers and sisters- in-law and dear cousins.
